Michael D Nelson, DDS
After his sister had a traumatic experience when Dr. Nelson was just 10 years old, young Dr. Nelson decided that he no longer wanted to be a fighter pilot—he wanted to be a dentist. Dr. Nelson graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and has been practicing in Grangeville for ten years, and has loved every minute of working with his amazing staff!
Dr. Nelson loves being a dentist—particularly in that it allows him to help others. He has a thirst for learning and enjoys discovering new ways that he can better serve his patients. He has taken many courses beyond school to become trained in new, exciting dental techniques including Implant therapy, Pinhole Surgical Technique, and various specialized surgeries. Dr. Nelson enjoys staying on the cutting edge of dental technology.
Though Dr. Nelson grew up as an Air Force BRAT, he is thrilled to call Grangeville his home and loves the Camas Prairie, surrounding areas and all that this beautiful area has to offer.
He, his wife, and their nine children enjoy rafting, biking, camping, and 4-wheeling together and are learning the ins and outs of fishing. At home, Dr. Nelson loves watching movies, playing games or just relaxing with his family.
